The new Strikers game is a great rendition of its GameCube version. Although it doesnt bring too many new features, its a great "pick up and play" type of game.
The story mode is the same as it was on GameCube. You pick a team, and go through a series of games, and compete for a trophy. Whats great about this game though, is that its on the Wii. The addition of the Wiimote, and nunchuck controller is delightful. It works flawlessly in-game.
Now, whats really different about this game, is the online play. Now, dont get your panties in a bunch; the online play isnt anything extraordinary. It does work though. You get matched with a player automatically based on skill level. You then battle it out. When the game is over, you get rematched. There is no mic support, or friends lists. The coolest part is, this was the first game for the Wii that has online multiplayer capabilities. Not bad Nintendo, but you can do better.
Thud, goal! Super Mario Strikers: Charged scores with the huge Mario fanbase. Its nothing too exciting, but a great game none the less.
