In her tenth (!) studio album, Janet Jackson offers up a highly digitized, futuristic version of herslef, with vocals that are so produced, they're barely human. No matter. Most of the tracks are up-tempo pop packages that use electro-influenced sounds to great effect. There's nothing too meaningful in the lyrics here (some are even a little ridiculous), but Jackson does pause to soften things up with slower, more reflective numbers.
