First I must say that Windows Vista has improved some features of its operating system, but unfortunatly most of its improvment were put into its eye candy GUI (Graphical User Interface). Vista is indeed very attractive to the first user but the most important thing we must look at is the core OS right? the acuall features that make it good. Microsoft is mostly a business company with some inovation put into its OS but most inovations is to attract the comsumer into buying its products, microsoft has always sucsseded that way.Inovation wise I must say Windows XP has hit many points in features simplexity and support at the same time with a resonable GUI. Now take Apple for example, Apple's new Mac OS X Tiger was sent too compete with the Windows Vista and apperantly now Apple has sold just about the same amount of copies of its OS than Microsoft did, wonder why, well in the realese of Mac OS X Tiger which was realesed before Vista (Tiger: April 29 2005 Vista: November 8 2006) Some people say that most of Windows vista's features resembles the one of OS X Tiger e.g Widgets and Gagets ect. (I am not sure if thats true or not, but steve jobs seams to agree and bill gates sems to diagree) but lets say that Microsoft did not copy anything from Apple, and that Apple's OS did not attract so many consumers because of its core OS inovation and GUI. Vista would still get thumbs down because of how much RAM and CPU power it needs (the Vista Compatible program which identified computers that could support Windows Vista was badly critisised by Companies and individual users, saying that "even a peice of junk is Vista Compatible") The cost of Vista is a problem (Vista:Suggested retail price for full package product, $239.95 USD, from Microsoft.com. Tiger: a suggested retail price of $199 (US), from Apple.com). Windows Vista apperantly is less secure than the Mac OS X Tiger( McAfee has claimed that Vista will actually be less secure than previous versions of Windows. According to CNET News.com some critics are unenthusiastic about the Vista security features, because they believe it "offers mostly basic protection and is not the best of its class.".) Due to the resource use of Vista, many games including games using the Source Engine (Half Life 2, Counter Strike: Source, etc.) or Doom 3 Engine (Doom 3, Quake 4, etc.) show a drop in frame rate compared to that experienced in Windows XP. Some articles point out, these results are also the consequence of the current lack of maturity of Vista Graphics Prossesing Unit drivers, and even maturity of Vista itself. With the new features of Vista, criticisms have surfaced concerning the use of battery power in laptops by Vista, which can drain the battery much more rapidly than Windowws XP, reducing battery life. With the Windows Aero visual effects turned off, battery life is equal to or better than Windows XP systems."With the release of a new operating system and its new features and higher requirements, higher power consumption is normal,".Thus Microsoft is already getting bad feedback from the Windows users around the world, unhappy about the fact that Microsoft is discontiuning the production of Windows XP. Many people and companies said they would not use Windows Vista untill service pack 2 is realesed. All in all The Windows OS still has a long way to perfection.

Great review!
It was very in-depth, and I enjoyed reading it!
One thing though: copy and paste into MS Word (or any other word processor), and do a spellcheck. :)
