Now, the first eMac was sold to a school. That was what Apple wanted to happen. Soon the public demanded and got the eMac. Five years later, my school bought the last shipment and the eMac just...dissapeared. My school is the only place I know that has at least ONE eMac. It uses the OS X 10 and seems quite nice. Except for the fact that it's heavy, large and totally unportable. I am part of the AV Club and we get to deliver Mac's to classes that booked them. I once had to bring an eMac to a classroom and it was so heavy, I needed a cart. Ever since that experience, our school only has 5 eMacs and the rest are iMacs or Mac Minis.
